Born and raised in Dallas, Laura moved to LA to pursue a career in production design. She is known for working on television both behind the scenes and as on-air talent in shows such as ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Paramount+ Network's Bar Rescue, and Restaurant Recovery on Discovery Channel. After several years of working in production, Laura was offered the opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious high-end residential design firms in Los Angeles. During her time at Studio Becker by Troy Adams Design, Laura helped design and project manage some of the largest and most luxurious properties in Southern California. This experience gave her the platform to launch her own company, Laura Rhoades Design, in 2015.

Of her entire portfolio, Laura's most meaningful work has been building art centers for children around the world alongside Touch A Life Foundation and Kim Lewis Designs. These transformative spaces, created for children rescued from sex trafficking and child labor,  help provide a safe space for healing and empowerment through creativity. For Laura, these projects have provided a rare opportunity to take her passion for designing with a purpose overseas.
